We are happy to announce the next Women & Whiskey event at the Eichelberger Distillery. March brings a celebration of Women’s History! So, ladies it’s time again to gather your girlfriends and spend an evening learning about spirits influenced by women from the 18 th and 19 th centuries. We will also have a guest speaker Laura Fields, the founder of the Delaware Valley Fields Foundation, a nonprofit organization aimed at supporting Pennsylvania agriculture. Laura will be here to talk about connecting the agriculture product that supports the rye whiskey produced at the Eichelberger Distillery. The evening will consist of the following: 

• Guest Speaker – Laura Fields (Rosen Rye, connecting agriculture to whiskey)
• A flight of drinks inspired by women
  o Widow Jane – Jane LeFevre Snyder – 52 years a widow (1820 – 1904)
  o Catherine Carpenter – inventor of sour mash recipe 1818, 2 times a widow (1760 – 1848)
  o Mary Dowling – widowed at the age of 44 (1859 – 1930)
  o Kate Kearney - never married (Unknown – 1848)
  o Martha Washington – inaugural first lady, “Lady Washington” (1731 – 1802)
• Participate in making the spotlight drink (Mountain Dew Kate Cocktail)
• Snacks/pairings that go with the evening’s drinks
• Door prizes
