Thursday, May 15th from 6:30pm - 8pm
Our Speaker Series continues on May 15th with Sarah Schwarz. Sarah was born and raised in Red Lion, a 1997 graduate of Dallastown High School, 2002 graduate of Penn State University and a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Sarah became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in 1999 while maintaining a dual membership in the Children of the American Revolution. She joined these lineage societies finding out she has 19+ patriot ancestors proven in the York County area who served in the York Co Militia. Sarah enjoys serving the local DAR as an officer and on the PA State level as Community Classroom chair.
DAR's mission focuses on a love of patriotism, education, and historic perservation - all of which are Sarah's passions. They promote educational initiatives and the understanding of American history as they feel a well educated citizen is essential for a strong nation. They also foster the spirit of patriotism through activities like commemorative events and supporting veterans etc. This event will be informative for both students and adults.
Simply pay at the door when you arrive – free for members and $5 for nonmember adults (students are free).
