Thursday, April 17th from 6:30pm - 8pm
Our Speaker Series continues on April 17th with Jeff Finegan. A collector of George Washington manuscripts as well as other important early American documents, Jeff has gained a reputation as a noted speaker on the topic of the nation's first president through his "I Knew George Washington" book series. Comprised of four titles: Colonel Washington and Me, 'Tis Well...The Life and Death of George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and George Washington - My Dear Grandpapa, the series covers the life of Washington and is told by historic figures who know him well. Intended for a younger audience, the majority of readers are adults who enjoy the unique perspective from which the stories are told.
Finegan is a 1982 graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast communication. His interest in history spans from the Norman Conquest of England to World War Two with an enthusiasm for George Washington, the American Civil War, and early architecture. He resides in the historic village of Finesville, New Jersy with his wife, Kimberly.
Lectures and book signings include such important historic destinations as: Mount Vernon, Colonial Willismaburg, Valley Froge, Morristown National Historic Park, Washington Crossing and Old Swede's Church in Philadelphia, just to name a few.
